My name is Conner Young and I am a sophomore at Oregon High School, In Oregon, IL. I have been doing Mixed Martial Arts for almost 4 years. I am aiming for NROTC school. I hope to go into the Navy or Marines as a officer. I am also a Mission 22 Ambassador.

On May 6, 2017 I will be raising awareness for the 22 veterans who take their lives a day. I will be walking 22 miles through my town. I also have a goal of raising $3,000 to help veterans get treatment when they need it...now.

I have always looked up to veterans. I have a great deal of respect for them. I also have friends and family who have served. I know some who suffer with PTSD. When I first heard about the 22 veterans who take their lives every day, I knew I had to do something. I am very motivated and excited to do this event. I hope to help Mission 22 lower the 22 suicides a day to 0.
